Kyoto’s having a snowstorm right now. We’re eating at an Italian restaurant in Kyoto Station because there was a huge line at the elevators to go up to the department store floors with the restaurants. After this, it’ll be time to check in and we have to figure out how to get to the ryokan…

Hiroshima Ichiban!

Today started with an early dash to the station to catch the 8:39 Shinkansen to Hiroshima. We had breakfast at the station–seriously, there’s good restaurants at train stations here–and then got on the train. Continued under the cut: food report and a quintessential Japanese okonomiyaki experience!
